1989 spelt the start of a new era in chimney sweeping in the County Down area. For a long time the district didn’t have the services of a chimney professional, instead the traditional image of a chimney sweep was a local man on a push bike, with a few rods strapped to the crossbar.

The necessity of a professional was evident, as the increased awareness of carbon monoxide problems became a worry to authorities and homeowners alike.

Following a comprehensive training schedule and registration scheme set up by the Northern Ireland Association of

Chimney Sweeps (NIACS), David Campbell began raising the image of the sweep. With public liability insurance,

combined with professional equipment and procedures that are regularly checked, we ensure the public and

their appliances are in safe hands.

About Us

David has been a public relations manager for the NIACS for about five years now, has represented the provinces only body of professional sweeps at

conferences and trade shows around the world, and has published a number of

advice leaflets on all aspects of chimney and appliance issues. Most of this advice can be found on our advice pages.

David has also become one of the NIACS instructors for chimney sweeping and has trained a number of the provinces chimney professionals.

On a regular basis, we deal with the problem chimneys, many of these potentially life

threatening. With a vast amount of knowledge, experience and training to deal with all of these faults, you can be assured we have seen it before and know what to do. Over 6,000 customers in the County can’t be wrong.

The business has now had to expand to cope with the demand. We now have a receptionist who deals efficiently with all the calls coming in, and at times we can have anything up to three

vehicles on the road, with two registered, approved, trained and insured chimney sweeps, and David is a trained and experienced oil heating engineer.
